While technology is advancing rapidly around us, there are still areas that are not as advanced as others. In the home care business, we know you see it all. Some buildings have limited connectivity due to the size of the building and others due to their location with regards to cell towers. Whatever the case may be, Savii Care has the solution.

How the Savii Connect App Works in Offline Form:

Once a visit has been accepted by the caregiver, the details of that visit are stored locally on that phone within the app. If the caregiver arrives at the location of the visit and they see at the top of their phone that there is “no service” at that location, they can still:

  • start the visit

  • record their notes

  • view notes left by other caregivers and agency staff members regarding that client

  • end the visit on their phone

...just like originally planned. The details they record while having no cell signal will simply get stored locally on the phone within the app, and once the phone regains cell signal, the information that was entered for that visit will automatically upload to Savii Care and be wiped from the phone.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Due to the client-specific information that is shared through the app, it is important that all caregivers secure their phone when they are not using it to maintain HIPAA compliance, either by:

  • signing out of the app momentarily when they walk away from their phone

  OR

  • password-protecting the screen of their phone when they are not entering notes for the visit.
