When setting up your agency in Savii Care, not all your staff members are going to need to be added as a user in Savii Care AND a user in Savii Connect. It’s important to think about the roles and responsibilities of each member of your team. Someone that is just helping part-time with some light cleaning or companionship will not need access to add new clients into the system or bill a payor, and someone in your agency that only handles the bills and never has face-to-face interaction with the client will not really need access as a user in Savii Connect. Here’s a good rule of thumb:


Think about your agency as a home. Some aspects are needed for more internal, structural support (i.e. beams, wall, flooring). Other aspects are needed for more external, “curb-appeal” support (i.e. driveways, sidewalks, siding, and landscaping). Similarly, those in your agency that provide more internal support (billing manager, scheduling manager, receptionist, etc.) need to have access as a user in Savii Care, and those that provide more external support (caregivers, escort personnel, nurses, etc.) need to have access as a user in Savii Connect.


However, let’s be real. Sometimes, team members have to wear multiple ‘hats’. Maybe they create team schedules but also sometimes go out and cover dropped caregiver shifts. For those team members, they will need to be added as a user in Savii Care AND as a user in Savii Connect. Nurses would be an example of a staff member needing access to both; they need to be able to enter in updated information related to each client's care plans and update main frame regarding info obtained from their assessments, which will be essential to scheduling, etc. However, they also need to be access to Savii Connect, as they visit the clients and need to be able to clock in and out and access other functions available through the Savii Connect.
